As a police man, you may know that
◆  In America, a law enforcement officer is killed in the line of duty every 57 hours on average. Most law enforcement officers are killed with firearms, particularly handguns.
◆  In Canada, being a police officer in Canada ranks second in all professions when considering the risk of on-the-job homicide. Police officers killed in the line of duty were almost invariably shot to death. Between 1961 and 2009, 92% of all officer-related killings were committed with a firearm. Of these, rifles or shotguns (including sawed-off) accounted for 56% of deaths while handguns were used in 44% of these killings. Nearly 8 in 10 officers were not wearing protective body armour (such as vests) at the time of the shooting, although this was more commonly the case in the 1960s and 1970s.

As an ordinary person, you may know that

◆  Between 6 and 10 August 2011, London riots happened, leading to many innocent people injured or even died.
